"The Gums" is named after the gum trees at the front of the property – Eucalyptus Ficifolia – the pink flowering gum, Eucalyptus Maculata – the spotted gum, and Eucalyptus Citriodora – the lemon scented gum.
If you're visiting friends or relatives, or attending functions, in the neighbouring suburbs of Flagstaff Hill, Aberfoyle Park, Belair, Blackwood, Eden Hills, Happy Valley or Hawthorndene, then "The Gums" B&B is very conveniently located.
"The Gums", being a traditional hosted B&B, has no kitchen facilities available. However, there are plenty of eating places in the Valley and nearby suburbs.
Easy access to the city by bus or train is from Blackwood Station and transport to and from the station is provided if you don’t have a car.
